(NOTE: This class is only crossable with either Wizardry or Warlock/Elementals for the spells/magic learned is the same)

Both sexes are accepted as intiate druids. The only way to learn about the druidic faith is to become a druid which it is said to take 15 to 20 years of initiation and learning. The long apprenticeship is spent learning and understanding the ancient history of the world , ancient verses and songs ((Bardism for lack of a better of term)), the rites of the druids, druidic lore, healing skills , prohecy and finally , magic.

Much of this time will be spent in wandering the countryside , attuning one's mind to the landscape, and especially, learning to appreciate and understand nature. At least a quarter of an intiate's time will be spent with thier mentor , but otherwise, they are free to do as they wish. The process is made longer by the fact that most (if not all) teachings are by word of mouth , since a duid rarely writes anything down and when they do it will be ina secret script known as Oghrune, an obscure form of rune. Not everyone who starts tutelage under a druid will become one, there are tests held every year and many fall by the wayside. There is also a Supreme Druid chosen every year at a special ceremony.

They are considered one with the Earth and nature , thier dream is to see humankind learn more about the nature world around them and to live in harmony with it. They may try to teach others forest conservation , superior methods of farming, like crop rotation, irrigation and ways to prevent erosion of soil from wnd and rain.

With Christianity now in Biton for a few hundred years now, there has been some rivarly between Druids and Christians..more so in the part of Christians. Since King Mik has ordained that all men and women may worship whatever religion they choose, and has stood firmly by that, the rivalry has slowed some. Which is good for both relgions lead to the same objective...the path and road to Light. There are certain animal species that are associated with the druidic faith. Some are stated below:

Eagle-Represents the celestial forces
Goose-Symbolizing alertness and watchfulness
Raven-Symbolizing darkness, death, destruction, and prohecy.
Bull-Symbolizing strength , ferocity , and virility.
Dog-Symbolizing hunting , healing , and death by combat.
Hare/Rabbit-Symbolizing the gods and spirits of the underworld , death and the undead as well as speed and luck.
Stag-Symbolizing virility, speed, agression and the forces of nature.

These animals may fall under suspicion if some sort of incident occurs involving druids.
Further more , some druids may have an animal familiar.

Rituals are very important to the druids. They are traditionally associated with the color white and wear white garments under thier robes and on special occaisions, wear white robes or gowns. They use mistle toe as well and may carry Oak staffs that are used as a symbol of thier authority.

Once an individual has drawn power form the earth and used it for mgic, they must replace that energy by the re-nuturring of the Earth. This usually done with ritual ceremony lasting from several minutes to a couple of hours , ending in blood sacrifice which can be anything form sacrificing an animal.((which most druids try to avoid. IF they can....for they love the animals more than people at times..there are times due to the strength of said spell..that may have no choice..but to sacrifice an animal)). ..to insuring the nurturring of earth energy by removing dead or disesed limbs from trees , plant seeds of herbal plants as well as fruit and nut bearing trees and herb plants , killing destructive insects they may hurt the plants ot trees, herbs, etc. If the nurturing of nurture is not continually performed, ther eis a good chance that future spells and rituals will not take effect and negative energy may follow.

Druids and Armor-
Most druids will only wear and use armor made from natural materials, including padded leather and even armor made form wood and bark. They will not wear armor or use weapons made of processed metal. They will , however , wear magical armor made of cloth or leather.(which may be anyhting from studded leather to a simple , brown hooded cloak that is magically enhanced).

The Five Laws
All druic magic works on the principles laid down in what are known as the Five Laws, which
are taught to every intiate at the very beginning of thier tutelage.
1.-THE LAW OF REBOUND.-A lesser force will always be repelled by a stronger one, and will rebound onto its caster.
2.-THE LAW OF EQUALS-When two equal magical forces meet one willeventually give way to the other , in which then be recognized as the stronger in future meetings
3.-THE LAW OF APPEARANCES.-Nothing in the magical realms should be taken at face value, but should always be questioned. This especially applies to obvious solutions and "the easy wayout".
4.-THE LAW OF SUMMONING- If a druid calls upon magical powers and finds that the result is not what was exected, it means that he does not have enough experience and ability to do what was attempted.
5.-THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT.-Like the concept of "karma" a druid should never expect something for notjing. The power of a magical spell will be equal to the power put into creating and casting it. To try to summon more power than one can handle is to summon "negative magic"on oneself(bad luck).
